Harvey named community coach
Carissa Harvey, of Fort Dodge, has been named the Hometown Pride community coach for Albert City, Alta, Aurelia, Lake Park, Lakeside, Marathon, Royal, Sioux Rapids and Storm Lake.
Harvey was the senior city planner for the city of Fort Dodge. She has more than 15 years of experience in plan development and implementation, grant writing and administration, project management and code development. She has been part of projects focused on public art, recreation and downtown development. Harvey is the president of Preserve Fort Dodge, a historic preservation organization currently focused on the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Harvey has an undergraduate degree in community and regional planning and a graduate certificate in GIS from Iowa State University in Ames.
Hometown Pride is part of Keep Iowa Beautiful.
