Where do you teach? Early Childhood Center
What grade/subject do you teach? Kindergarten
Why do you teach? I teach to share my love of learning and to be a positive impact on our littlest scholars.
What is your favorite part of the school day? My favorite part of the school day is morning meeting. Everyone is happy to be at school and we love greeting each other and having time to share with each other.
What are you working hardest on right now? I am continually working hard on laying a solid foundation in reading and math for my students to set them up for the highest amount of success for their future.
What are you most proud of as a teacher? I am most proud of the relationships I make with each of my students. I get to know them as individuals and really strive to make their school experience an impactful and positive one.
What makes you the happiest as a teacher? It makes me so happy when a student’s face lights up after they learn something new, or succeed at something they have been working really hard at.
How do you contribute to/how are you involved in our community outside of school? I am new to Iowa and new to Fort Dodge, but I have found a great sense of community here and have enjoyed getting involved with my church and would love to someday become involved in youth programs within the community.
What are your interests/hobbies outside of school? I love anything outdoors. Golfing and going on walks are two of my favorites!
What do you wish your students/families knew about you? I hope my students and families know how much I love being a teacher here and how much of an impact they have on me. I truly take to heart every single hug, note, smile, and kind message.
What does Together We Rise mean to you? To me, Together We Rise shares a message of unity and equality meaning that together we can overcome adversities and always strive to be the best we can be.
