Emma Reiglesberger, then 4, tosses a plastic-wrapped turkey down a make-shift bowling alley in the Fort Dodge Hy-Vee. For knocking down five 7-Up liters out of ten, Reiglesberger won a stuffed animal. The turkey bowling was part of a Thanksgiving celebration sponsored by Hy-Vee and Citizens Community Credit Union. Children also registered for door prizes, decorated cookies and made crafts. “The main thing is hearing what they’re thankful for,” said Ann Halbur, Hy-Vee’s marketing director. When asked, Reiglesberger said she was thankful for her family.
