Engineers at the Iowa Air National Guard facility north of Fort Dodge prepared the historic F-84F plane to be airborne once again.
The 12,000-pound plane was lifted by a crane and moved 200 feet south from its current position at the base’s north parking lot. This is the plane’s first move since it arrived on the base in 1979, according to Master Sgt. Jeff Holloway.
