Wendy WintersteEn, dean of Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, spoke of the importance of science and techonolgy to the future of farming. Biomass will create a lucrative niche in the industry, according to Wintersteen. She was the keynote speaker for the annual meeting of the Pocahontas County Economic Development Commission. Wintersteen is now president of ISU.
