Twin sisters Aubrey Lewis and Lexey Lewis have opened a holistic spa, the only one of its kind in Fort Dodge. The business is called Glow With Us.

Lexey Lewis and Aubrey Lewis do everything together.

The twin sisters came into this world as a pair and have decided to go through life as business partners.

The 2021 Fort Dodge Senior High School graduates have entered the business world, bringing Fort Dodge a new venture with Glow With Us.

The Lewis sisters have opened a holistic spa, the only one of its kind in Fort Dodge.

“We are living our dream,” Aubrey said. “We love doing something together and look at us now — we are doing what we love.”

A holistic spa is unlike traditional spas, because it is based on holistic healing — an approach that looks at the body, mind and spirit as a single, interconnected whole.

“A holistic spa focuses on treating the root cause and the body as a whole,” Lexey said. “Instead of looking at the skin care, it’s more of what is causing it.- what people are eating and that type of thing.”

Glow With Us, which has been open since the first of July, is located at 13 S. Third St. in Fort Dodge.

“We are really pumped to bring something like this to the community,” Lexey said. “There is nothing natural and we wanted to start something new.”

The sisters graduated from LaJames International College in 2023, where they got their licenses in sound healing.

“We went to LaJames to get our licensing basics for facials and other things,” Lexey said. “We went through other schooling to learn holistic care and scar care.”

Sound healing is a therapy that combines different healing sounds, music, and special sound instruments to improve multidimensional well-being.

“Sound healing uses vibrations to heal a holistic need that guests struggle with,” Aubrey said. “We use the tool’s frequency to redirect as it should be.

“Being unbalanced leads to joint pain.”

The idea of the business came from the sisters, because of Aubrey’s skin issues at a young age.

“We work great together when we are doing our own thing,” Aubrey said. “I had skin issues growing up and it was tough to deal with that growing up.

“We grew an interest in trying to heal skin issues.”

There are a lot of treatments and relaxation techniques offered at Glow With Us.

“We offer a variety of facials with organic and natural products,” Aubrey said.“We also offer sound healing, reflexology and red light therapy.”

Red light therapy uses low levels of red light to improve the skin’s appearance. It can help reduce wrinkles, scars and acne.

When a guest enters the spa, Lexey and Aubrey will undertake a process to find what fits best.

“We figure out the person’s everyday life and what they are exposed to and the stress they are under,” Aubrey said. “Finding out what is irritating their skin and if certain foods are triggering the inflammation.

“We develop a specific treatment and what works best.”

Patrons can also purchase products in the retail area where they sell organic skin care, scrubs, candles and coffee.

They also offer what is called a Sparty, where kids can come in and have a birthday party.

“It’s for eight kids and can add up to 12,” Lexey said. “It goes for two hours and the kids can do facials, as well as many other things, such as key chains, bracelets, and lip balm. There are also tattoo stations. The party is taken care of by us.”

Guests can also come in just for a relaxing day.

“If someone just wants to come in for a relaxing day, we offer that,” Aubrey said. “We can also build routines if someone is having horrible dry skin and can come in once every two weeks.

“It’s all about figuring out each person’s routine through a consultation and what their daily lifestyle is like.”

Glow With Us is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s open Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Starting at $2.99/week.
