“It means they’re comfortable and enjoying it,” said Mentzer. “I’m glad to be able to provide that little piece of relaxation and self care.”

Mentzer, a licensed esthetician and owner of JFM Esthetics, provides an extensive list of services in her spa’s repertoire including facials, waxing, and lash and brow services.

“Lashes and brows are super popular,” said Mentzer. “I do a lot of lash lifts which curls the lashes and keeps them curled for four-to-six weeks. Also I provide brow lamination which alters the shape of the brow hairs and keeps them in the same position that you want, and I also do lash and brow tinting”

With the many self care services that JFM Esthetics provides, Mentzer says there isn’t one that’s her favorite to provide to clientele.

“I love all of the services that I offer,” said Mentzer. “I wouldn’t offer it if I didn’t love to do it every day and to know that clients love it as well.”

Spa services also tend to change with the seasons. According to Mentzer, lash and brow services are more popular in the summer with people wanting to be more low maintenance whereas facials tend to be more popular in the fall and winter with clients wanting to relax.

Mentzer has added new services, including different waxing options in recent months and hopes to add more services in the future.

“I want to provide quality services that clients enjoy so I’ll add to that list,” said Mentzer. “I also want those services to be provided in an environment that’s not intimidating like some big spas are. I really want these to be enjoyable experiences for clients.”

Mentzer said she also hopes to provide spa day birthday parties for children in the future.
