Fort Dodge firefighters hose down the smoldering engine of a pickup truck that caught fire downtown early Tuesday afternoon. The fire in the parking lot at the corner of Central Avenue and Eighth Street was reported at about 1 p.m. The flames were confined to the engine compartment of the Ford F150 pickup. No one was injured.
