Taking a trip to Narnia
Webster City Community Theatre performs ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’
WEBSTER CITY — Audience members will have a chance to step through the wardrobe and visit the magical kingdom of Narnia as the Webster City Community Theatre’s summer production of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” opens today. The play is based on a story from C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” and was dramatized by Joseph Robinette.
Those attending will travel with Susan, Peter, Edmund and Lucy to meet Aslan the lion, the White Witch and her army, Tumnus the Fawn, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Unicorn, Centaur, Fenris Ulf, Dwarf and the other inhabitants of Narnia.
Tickets are on sale at the box office. All tickets are $12.
Performance dates are July 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. and July 14 and 21 at 2 p.m.
The cast of 25 is under the direction of Loween Getter, assisted by Andrew Wotherspoon and Angela Rottering, and stage manager Mykah Kennedy. Appearing in the two-act non-musical are the following:
