The Fort Dodge Community School District will require its elementary school students to wear masks during regular school hours starting on Monday.

The district sent out information to parents about the change on Friday afternoon.

The mask requirement includes all preschool through fifth grade students, as well as staff and visitors at the following schools:

Early Childhood Center

Butler Elementary School

Cooper Elementary School

Duncombe Elementary School

Feelhaver Elementary School

All students traveling on a school bus for any reason will continue to be required to wear a mask while on the bus.
