Nothing says Halloween like a giant inflatable pumpkin.

That’s according to Katie Feely, who set up the display in front of her home, 1865 10th Ave. N.

The 9-foot-tall pumpkin is an eye-catcher for those walking near the Dodger tennis courts.

“It takes about 10 minutes to completely inflate,” Feely said. “And when I unplug everything, the pumpkin takes about 45 minutes to go flat.”

In addition to the pumpkin, there are inflatable ghosts and at night ghosts reflect on the house.

“They are dancing ghosts,” Feely said. “People love to come by and see it (the display) and take pictures. I love decorating.”

Brothers Lucas Davis, 11, and Nick Davis, 10, enjoy the decorations.

“I like spooky stuff,” Lucas Davis said.

He also likes scary movies.

Lucas Davis said he’ll be dressing as Michael Myers, the fictional character from the “Halloween” series of slasher films.

Nick Davis will be dressing as Jason Voorhees, the fictional character from the “Friday the 13th” series.

Feely’s favorite Halloween movie is “Hocus Pocus.” She will not be dressing up this year.

Feely has lived at her Fort Dodge home since 2019 with Greg Davis. She said the location is great for decorating for the holidays.

“We already got our decorations ready for Christmas,” Feely said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
