BVU forges bonds with Wells Ag Supply through strategic partnership
Grant funding to help lower employees' education costs
STORM LAKE — Buena Vista University and Wells Ag Supply have entered a strategic partnership, strengthening the employees, businesses, and communities they are committed to serve.
This partnership allows for employees of Wells Ag Supply, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.
BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials at Wells Ag Supply seek such services and expertise. Wells Ag Supply, an independent ag retailer based in Fonda, supplies ag inputs throughout the Midwest, employs more than 50. The enterprise has grown while remaining centered around four core values: accountability, efficiency, self-motivation, and adaptability.
“We are excited to partner with BVU through this exciting Strategic Partnerships initiative, which enables us, first, to provide educational assistance to our employees and their families,” says Wells Ag Supply Owner Grant Wells. “BVU’s highly successful launch of the Ag Institute will benefit firms and residents across the Midwest and beyond. Being a partner with a leader in ag education can only help strengthen our organization as we continue to advance the important work of all of our growers and producers.”
“BVU aspires to provide more accessible paths in higher education for community members across Iowa and the US,” says BVU Director of Strategic Partnerships Laura Todd. “It is so exciting to partner with companies on the cutting edge in their respective fields. Through our partner grant funding, employees and their family members may build their careers while ultimately strengthening one another and their communities.”
