Dave Flattery
Fort Dodge City Councilman Dave Flattery is seeking another term representing Ward 3.
He is running for his seventh term representing that ward on the city’s northeast side. He had served as an at-large member of the council from 2008 to 2011.
Council members who represent the four wards serve two-year terms.
Flattery, of 1310 N. 29th St., is the president of Availa Bank in Fort Dodge.
He is a graduate of St. Edmond High School who earned a Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Ames.
In addition to representing his ward, Flattery serves as mayor pro tem, which means he presides over the council meetings and handles other mayoral duties when Mayor Matt Bemrich is not available.
Councilmen Kim Alstott, Ward 4, and Cameron Nelson, Ward 2, are the other candidates who have filed nominating papers so far.
