FD woman charged in motorcycle hit and run
A Fort Dodge woman is facing a felony charge and several misdemeanors for a hit and run near Friendship Haven on Thursday evening.
According to criminal complaints against Paige Glore, 22, Glore was allegedly driving intoxicated at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when she hit a motorcycle ridden by Connor Wienhold, of Alta, on Kenyon Road near Friendship Haven and the Berry Hill Center. The collision caused Wienhold’s motorcycle to crash and he sustained a broken hand.
Glore then allegedly drove off with three children in the car to a friend’s house. She was later taken into custody.
Glore has been charged with one count of serious injury by vehicle, a Class D felony; three counts of child endangerment, all aggravated misdemeanors; one count of operating while under the influence — first offense, a serious misdemeanor. She is also charged with one count of interference with official acts causing bodily injury for allegedly being “combative and non-compliant” in the processing room of the Webster County Law Enforcement Center’s processing room, causing a cut to an officer’s hand.
Glore had her initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Friday morning. She waived a preliminary hearing and was released with supervision from the Department of Correctional Services.
