Three dead after Sunday night shooting

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday night shooting that left three dead.

According to a release from Sheriff Luke Fleener, a shooting at 2101 140th St. in rural Webster County was reported at 7:40 p.m. A juvenile caller told dispatchers that two people had been shot and the suspect had fled on foot.

WCSO deputies arrived within minutes and located two female gunshot victims in the garage of the area, according to Fleener. Deputies attempted life saving medical procedures on both victims until paramedics arrived, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
