Fort Dodge firefighters work at the scene of a garage fire Friday evening. The fire at 955 S. 20th St. was reported at about 5:35 p.m. Fire Department Capt. Steve Teske said the fire started near the bottom of a front corner of the garage and burned up to the roof before being extinguished. He said there was some heat damage in the garage. The cause of the fire remained under investigation Friday night. Fort Dodge police responded along with city firefighters.
