Commencement ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Hodges Fieldhouse on the Iowa Central campus in Fort Dodge.

Graduates earning High School Equivalency Diplomas, Certificates, Diplomas, and Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Applied Arts and Associate of Professional Studies Degrees will participate in the 10 a.m. ceremony and graduates earning Associate of General Studies, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing will graduate at 2 p.m.

Featured speaker for this year’s ceremonies is Debi Durham. Durham is a longtime economic and community development professional who serves as director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority. Durham holds a bachelor of science in Business Administration, Marketing and Management from Missouri Southern State University. She was appointed to lead IFA in 2019.

Student speakers will be Abby Jensen, Iowa Central Student Senate president, and Nico Booyens, an All-Iowa and All-USA Academic Team nominee. Also recognized during commencement will be the recipients of the Golden Triton Award. The Golden Triton Award is awarded to one faculty member and one staff member each year in recognition of their excellent service to Iowa Central Community College students. The recipients of this award are nominated by current Iowa Central students. This year’s faculty recipient is Nicole Fusco, advanced instructor in the Science Department. The staff recipient is Sydney Suntken, academic advisor.

Parents, relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the commencement ceremony. Seating is available in Hodges Fieldhouse. The doors to the fieldhouse will open at 9 a.m. for the 10 a.m. ceremony and 1 p.m. for the 2 p.m. ceremony. Overflow seating will be available in Decker Auditorium where the ceremonies will be livestreamed. A reception in the Triton Cafe will follow both ceremonies.
