DUNCOMBE — Duncombe’s fourth annual Chili Cookoff is 3 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY at the Duncombe Community Center, 510 Folger St. Bingo will be played in the tornado shelter from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be chili, raffles, monetary prizes and golden ladle. Spoons are $5 each and chili cooks eat for free. Submit your favorite soup recipe for a chance to win separate prizes.
LIVERMORE — Livermore Sons of the American Legion Otto Field Post 415 are holding an Omelet Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon SUNDAY in the Livermore Legion basement. Tickets are $10 per person.
LEHIGH — Lehigh Methodist Church, Lehigh, is holding a Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY at the church. The menu includes four or five different soups, drink and dessert for a freewill donation.

FORT DODGE — Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library Book Sale is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY and 9 to 11 a.m. SATURDAY at the library, 424 Central Ave. Today any books you can fit into a grocery bag are $3. On Saturday, any books you can fit into a grocery bag are $1.
FORT DODGE — Meals on Wheels Trivia Night fundraiser is 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50 per person which includes heavy appetizers. To register, call 515-570-0965.

FORT DODGE — Veterans Day Celebration and Swing Dance begins noon MONDAY at the Best Western Starlite Village, 1518 Third Ave. N.W. There will be food, drinks and live music. At noon, there will be food and drinks available for purchase, followed by a speaker on the bridge project at 2 p.m. Maurice Jules will provide live music from the ’50s and ’60s at 1:30 p.m. A swing dance begins at 3 p.m. with the Michael Lyon Jazz Quarter performing. At 6 p.m., Kriss Karr will play live classic rock and 70’s music. Admission is free.
