ICCC appoints new board member
Determann retired from board in October
The Iowa Central Community College Board of Trustees has appointed a new member to fill the vacant seat for District 1.
Kati Lemberg, of Fort Dodge, will fill the District 1 position that was previously held by longtime member Darrell Determann, who retired in October.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Board of Trustees for Iowa Central Community College,” said Lemberg, who is also a 2003 Triton alumna. “Iowa Central is not only a place of learning, but a hub for personal and professional growth. I am excited to work alongside my fellow trustees, faculty, staff, and students to uphold the mission of Iowa Central to provide quality educational opportunities in and outside the classroom. I look forward to giving back to the institution that played such a pivotal role in my own educational journey and continues to impact the lives of students in our community.”
Lemberg was approved to take over the board seat on Nov. 12.
Determann served on the Iowa Central board for 20 years, beginning his tenure in 2004. Determann also served as a liaison to the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees Board, now known as Community Colleges for Iowa, for more than a decade. In 2017, he received the John P. Kibbe Award from Community Colleges for Iowa, recognizing his significant contributions to both his community and the college.
