Fort Dodge Fire Department paramedics check on the driver of a pickup following a crash at U.S. Highway 20 and Riverside Trail late Thursday afternoon. The driver did not go to the hospital. The crash, which involved the pickup and a semitrailer, happened in the eastbound lanes of the highway at about 4:15 p.m. After the crash, the semi stopped on the side of the highway east of Riverside Trail. No one was injured. The crash remained under investigation by Webster County sheriff’s deputies Thursday evening. The Iowa State Patrol and Otho firefighters also responded.

Eastbound traffic on U.S. Highway 20 was slowed down significantly late Thursday afternoon following a crash at the highway’s intersection with Riverside Trail. The traffic was completely stopped immediately following the crash. State troopers and sheriff’s deputies then directed all the vehicles into the righthand lane so that they could slowly file past the crash scene. The crash happened at about 4:15 p.m.Traffic restrictions were in place until about 6:30 p.m.
