STEAMfest was held on Nov. 7 at Iowa Central Community College. The festival was held to promote, inspire and engage youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics activities and to introduce children and parents to STEAM careers in their local communities. Exhibits included interactive STEAM activities for children and their families, with insects from the Iowa State University Insect Zoo, the Iowa Corn trailer, drones from Iowa State Patrol, and some hands-on crime scene experiences.
Donors included McClure Engineering, First Interstate Bank, North Central Iowa STEM Region, Fareway and Blue Ribbon Pelhams Water.
