Supervisors to consider non-disclosure agreement
Date to be set for special election on EMS tax
The Webster County Board of Supervisors will consider and potentially sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance at today’s meeting.
If signed, the NDA would keep all elected supervisors and the county auditor from divulging information provided by the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance to the public and media. What information would be withheld under the NDA — specific or broad — is not known and was not stated on the agenda for today’s meeting.
An NDA signed by elected officials has never happened before in Webster County and is not commonplace.
The supervisors are expected to approve a contract with Rasch Construction, of Fort Dodge, in the amount of $397,282.60 for phase 1 of the Dayton Trail project.
The supervisors are also expected to set a March date for a special election to allow residents to vote on imposing a countywide emergency medical services property tax.
The Webster County Board of Supervisors will meet at 10 a.m. today in the Webster County Courthouse.
