Chick-fil-A to host hiring event
New restaurant looking to hire for 100 positions
Chick-fil-A, 2818 Second Ave. S., is slated to open soon, and owner-operator Adam Heynen is looking to hire 80 to 100 full- and part-time employees for the new restaurant.
Heynen is hosting three drop-in hiring events. The first will be on Saturday with others scheduled for Jan. 18 and Jan. 25. All of the events will be from 8 a.m.to noon at the restaurant. Chick-fil-A Fort Dodge is hiring for a variety of positions and states that it will provide competitive pay and benefits, education and scholarship opportunities and hands-on training and mentorship.
“Our vision for Chick-fil-A Fort Dodge is to inspire future generations by building a legacy of remarkable care,” said Heynen.

Heynen and his wife Jill, recently moved to Fort Dodge to open the restaurant. He started his career as an emergency room physician’s assistant and also grew passionate about the restaurant industry. She served as a Chick-fil-A team member in Iowa City.
“As a lifelong Iowan, bringing Chick-fil-A to Fort Dodge is a special milestone for me,” said Heynen. “I grew up in Sheldon and got to know the Fort Dodge community from driving on Highway 20 to visit for sporting events. Now, Jill and I are proud to call Fort Dodge home alongside our two children. With the first location in the county, I’m thrilled to share our signature hospitality and delicious chicken with Fort Dodge, and can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors.”
An official opening date for Chick-fil-A Fort Dodge has not yet been announced.
