Grobe takes on marketing role for Growth Alliance
CEO says she has ‘creative energy’
Katy Grobe is the new marketing specialist for the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
In that role she will manage the communications and image of the Growth Alliance through all forms of media. She comes into the position with experience in both communications and retailing.
“Katy’s experience and creative energy will bring a lot of positive momentum going forward,” said Astra Ferris, the alliance’s chief executive officer.
Grobe started on the job Jan. 2.
“I really enjoy the team,” she said. “I like the mission and what we stand for. I love to see the growth.”
“So far, everyone I’ve met has been so kind and welcoming,” she added.
Grobe was most recently a content specialist for Waldorf University in Forest City. She worked for the university for six years, starting as assistant manager of the bookstore.
Before that, she ran a women’s clothing and accessories boutique in Mankato, Minnesota, for five years.
She grew up in North St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her high school diploma from Trail Wolf Creek Online Learning, then completed other courses at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Waldorf University.
She and her husband, Jacob, have one son.
