FORCE America Inc., a manufacturer of hydraulic equipment, will build a new 32,000 square-foot facility on the east side of Fort Dodge, company executives and local leaders announced Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting new chapter for FORCE America in Fort Dodge,” John Stenz, the company’s executive chairman, said in a written statement.

“This community has not only been a fantastic place for us to grow, but also a testament to what it means to support local businesses,” he added. “The strong sense of collaboration, the ongoing growth, and the commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment make Fort Dodge a place to thrive.”

FORCE America Inc. has had a presence in Fort Dodge since 1953. Its current facility is located on North 25th Street

Its new service and distribution center will be located near the intersection of First Avenue South and 42nd Street.

It will be a 32,000-square-foot building on a 12-acre lot that provides room for any future growth.

The building is expected to be completed in the spring of 2026, according to an announcement from the company.

In its announcement, the company reported that the move to the new facility will enhance employee experience, create an environment that will attract and retain talent, and support a growing customer base.

“FORCE America’s expansion project fuels exciting momentum for our thriving community,” said Astra Ferris, chief executive officer of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance. “We are proud to support FORCE America and grateful for their continued commitment to our region.”

The new facility will be constructed in the Decker Development Park., which is already home to MidAmerican Energy’s local service center. Moeller Furnace & Air is building a new headquarters and shop there.

“The city of Fort Dodge is excited that FORCE America has chosen the Decker Development Park to continue its already impressive development in our region,” Mayor Matt Bemrich said. “We are thankful for investment in our community and the employment opportunities created for people in our area.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
