The Webster County Board of Supervisors unveiled the county’s five year strategic plan on Tuesday.
The supervisors and county government department leaders created a mission statement of “Webster County is dedicated to providing excellent services and resources that enhance the quality of life for our residents.”
As part of the strategic plan, the county plans to focus on values of respect, integrity, collaboration, communication, and dedication.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the supervisors also approved a resolution to work with a bond agent for $7 million in taxable urban renewal tax increment capital loan notes. The loan notes will be used for projects with Nestle Purina PetCare and concrete pours at Corridor Plaza.
The supervisors also approved the hiring of Matt English to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy. English previously worked for the Fort Dodge Police Department.
Paige Wheeler was named to the MIDAS Council of Governments as a representative of Webster County. Wheeler’s term will expire at the end of 2028.
