Iowa Central Career Fair rescheduled
Event is now set for April 9
Because of the blast of wintry weather expected Wednesday, Iowa Central Community College has rescheduled its career fair.
The fair, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled to April 9. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career Education Building on the Fort Dodge campus.
With more than 100 businesses in attendance, this event provides an opportunity for students, alumni, and the general public to explore career possibilities and connect with potential employers.
Attendees do not need to pre-register. They can check in at the door, where they will receive a name tag, a list of participating employers, and a map of the event layout. It is recommended that attendees bring a resume and dress professionally, as many businesses will be actively recruiting for a variety of positions.
Job seekers will have the chance to explore various industries, learn how their skills transfer across fields, and network with employers representing agriculture, automotive, education, health care, business, law enforcement, government, manufacturing, military, and more.
With 77 percent of Iowa Central graduates staying within its service area, events like the Spring Career Fair play a crucial role in connecting local students and community members with businesses that drive the local economy forward.
