A long stretch of 27th Street and a couple of other roads in Fort Dodge will get concrete repairs this spring and summer under a contract awarded by the City Council this week.

The streets to be worked on include:

• 27th Street between First Avenue South and Martin Luther King Drive

• First Avenue South between 29th and 32nd streets

• 29th Street between First Avenue South and Second Avenue North

TK Concrete Inc., of Pella, was awarded a $620,870 contract by the City Council on Monday.

The work is to be completed by July 11.

Other bidders for the project were Castor Construction, of Fort Dodge, $623,022; Cardenas Concrete, of Fort Dodge, $623,736.50; Cedar Falls Construction, of Cedar Falls, $687,026; Jensen Builders Ltd., of Fort Dodge, $743,500; and Ten Point Construction, of Denison, $965,665.75.
