A Fort Dodge man was arrested and accused of sexually abusing a child over the past four years, according to court records.

Court records show Christopher J. Novencido, 44, of 806 N. 21st St., was charged with these offenses:

• Nine counts of second-degree sexual abuse.

• Nine counts of incest.

• Two counts of invasion of privacy.

The abuse occurred between April 2021 and early this month, according to criminal complaints filed against Novencido.

Magistrate Sarah Livingston scheduled a preliminary hearing for April 22, and issued an order barring him from having contact with the child.

She also set bond for Novencido at $270,000.
