The Fort Dodge Middle School seventh and eighth grade musical ”The Wizard of Oz” will be performed at 7 p.m. March 12-13 in the school auditorium.

Tickets cost $4. They may be purchased at www.showtix4u.com. Tickets may also be purchased the days of the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

”The Wizard of Oz” is the classic tale of Dorothy who gets swept away by a tornado and ends up in the magical land of Oz. There she teams up with a scarecrow, a tin man and a cowardly lion and is helped by a good witch. But she must also deal with a wicked witch and her army of flying monkeys. In the end, she finds the power to return home to Kansas lies within her heart and not her ruby slippers.

Nearly 85 students are involved in the production.
