The Rev. James Bruch named Sioux City Diocese Chaplain of the Year

At the 2025 Iowa Knights of Columbus Convention held April 4-6 in Dubuque, the Rev. James Bruch was recognized as the Sioux City Diocese Chaplain of the Year. The award was presented at the Clergy and Religious Recognition Banquet on April 4. His two sisters, Bernadine Pickhinke, Marilyn Snyder, and his nephew, Mark Snyder, celebrated the occasion with him. Bruch has been a priest of the Sioux City Diocese for nearly 60 years since his ordination on June 5, 1965. His current assignment is as the Marian Home chaplain in Fort Dodge leading daily Mass. Father Bruch was nominated for this recognition by the Father Robert McClintock Knights of Columbus Council 14494 in Manson where he served as council chaplain until his move to Fort Dodge in early February 2025.
