BILL SHINE

Bill Shine, 77, passed away on April 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 3, 1941. Dad was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many.

Bill served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964 where he met and married his beloved wife of 52 years, Jean. Bill and Jean lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa from 1972-1991 where they raised their two daughters, Debbie and Julie. Bill was the General Manager and part owner of the Holiday Inn in Fort Dodge. Bill and Jean moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona in 1991 where he operated the Ameriprise Financial office as a financial planner.

Bill is preceded in death by his Wife Jean, Father Marvin and Mother Irene. He is survived by his Daughter Julie and Son in Law Jim Heaney, Daughter Debbie and Son in Law Rick Toth; Grandchildren Hannah Toth and Matthew Heaney; Brothers Tom and Bruce; his special friend Cleo and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 58 in Fountain Hills, Arizona. A burial service will be held in November to lay Bill and Jean to rest together at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
