Michael Lankford, 70, of Fort Dodge, died Sept­ember 26, 2022 at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab.

Memor­ial visit­ation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Chapel.

Michael Lankford, son of Glen and Donna (Buchanan) Lankford, was born on July 27, 1952 in Fairfield, Iowa. He was raised and attended school in Fort Dodge. After being together for many years, Michael was united in marriage to Donna Charlson on March 10, 1984. Family was very important to Michael and he loved his grandkids and great grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, scratch tickets and swisher sweet cigars.

Survivors include his wife Donna, son Shane Lankford of Fort Dodge, his mother Donna of Sac City, sister Sharon Potts (Rob Foote) and brother Dan (Robin), sister-in-law Linda Lankford, grandchildren Dunchan Lankford and Krista Gurnett, 8 great grandchildren, special friend Paula Lankford and her children Jasmine, CheyAnne and Tristan, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Glen, his brother Steve, sister Christine, and step-brother David.
