ANDY HIRACHETA

Andrew “Andy” Hiracheta, 88, of Fort Dodge, died November 29, 2022, at his home under hospice care.

Visit­ation will be held after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, followed by a rosary service at 4:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel with interment in Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Andrew Joseph Hiracheta, son of Anacleto and Angelina (Rivera) Hiracheta, was born October 26, 1934. He retired from National Gypsum after nearly 40 years. Following retirement, he also worked at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, landscape work and mushroom hunting.

Andy is survived by his sons, Andrew Allan Hiracheta and Michael (Sharlotte) Hiracheta; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his brothers Dean and Raymond and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Olivia Hiracheta, Lily Porrez, Frank, Peter, Lupe, Helen Ball, Angelo, Ted, and Ernie.
