EILEEN SAMUELSON

Eileen Samuelson, 87, died December 26, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge, Iowa. Interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Manson. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Eileen Carlson, daughter of Anton and Jennie (Bergstrom) Carlson, was born December 10, 1935, in Manson, Iowa. She was a 1954 graduate of Manson High School. On September 10, 1960, Eileen married Kenneth Samuelson at Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson. The couple made their home and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Eileen worked at a variety of businesses throughout her lifetime, retiring from Trinity Regional Medical Center in 1999. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church. She loved crafting, quilting, baking, gardening, and most of all loved time spent with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Kenneth; her children Lisa Samuelson of West Des Moines, Lori Seubert of Ankeny, and Eric (Lisa) Samuelson of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Greg Seubert, her siblings Olga Kaufman, Arthur Carlson, John Carlson, Edwin Carlson, Myrtle Kaufman, Leo “Pete” Carlson, and her parents, Anton and Jennie Carlson.
