LuAnn Lorraine O’Conner Sande was born April 14, 1937, to her parents, Edward and Dorthy. LuAnn and her brother Mike were born and raised in Fort Dodge, and frequently spent time with her favorite great aunt Rose Johnson. On February 11, 1956, she married the love of her life Carl Sande. Her parents also remarried at the same time in Blue Earth, MN, acting as each other’s witnesses. LuAnn was a devoted housewife raising five children along with various cats and dogs. As we all know, she was an animal lover. As the children grew older, LuAnn went on to become a receptionist in the business she co-owned with her husband for many years until retirement. She enjoyed her many pets along with traveling with the family in their motorhome. She especially loved dancing at the Laramar Ballroom in Fort Dodge where she first met the love of her life Carl. LuAnn could dance at the drop of a hat and frequently could be found doing that often.

LuAnn is survived by her children, Karla (Mike) Rector, Karen Fischer, Kevin Sande, Khris (Shelley) Sande and Kelle (Shawn) Sande; grandchildren, Dan (Tami) Wade (Jenny), Ben, Mike (Ellie), Wendy (Christian), Cory (Kayleen), Nicole, Austin, Kelsey (Matt), Haylee, Kim, Kraig, Brad and Sarah, Jacob, Maria and Julia, along with numerous great grandchildren, and her brother Mike. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, Edward and Dorthy, her favorite great aunt Rose Johnson, son-in-law Edward “Eddie” Fischer, and various pets.

LuAnn is up in that big ballroom in the sky dancing to her heart’s content.
