WAYNE SEEHUSEN

Wayne G. Seehusen, 94, of Fort Dodge, died July 4, 2023 at the Marian Home.

Memor­ial visit­ation will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment to be held in Colfax Cemetery, Vincent, Iowa.

Wayne Gordan Seehusen, the son of Hye and Sena (Aden) Seehusen, was born May 16, 1929 in Pomeroy, Iowa. Wayne served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Wayne worked for Carl and Steve Schmallenburger and several other area farmers and retired from Hormel’s after 35 years when it closed in May of 1982.

Wayne is survived by his children Cynde Welch of GA, Gordon (Linda) Seehusen of Fort Dodge, Karen (Warren) Birchard of Des Moines, Richard (Amanda) Seehusen of Fort Dodge; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step- grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gloria and second wife Leona, his daughters Susan, Kathy and Linda, stepson Larry Lempke, son-in-law Dick Welch, and sister Marcella Hanson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the charitable discretion of the family.
