JON BURKE

Jon Edward Burke, 70, of Fort Dodge, died October 4, 2023, with family at his side at Stratford Speciality Care.

Private graveside services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery in Rock­well City and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements.

Jon Edward Burke, son of Elmer and Erna (Bahls) Burke, was born on December 7, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Jon graduated from FDSH and Iowa State University with a degree in finance. He was employed with the State of Iowa as an auditor. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his siblings; Charlene (Robert) Smith of Prescott Valley, AZ, Scott (Kelly) Burke of Waukee, IA, Jolene Thompson of Urbandale, and Jim (Karen) Burke of Lincoln, NE; several nieces and nephews. Jon was preceded in death by his parents.
