Sharon Louise Hood was born November 30, 1940, in Fort Dodge. She attended Corpus Christi School and graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1959. On May 20, 1961, she was united in marriage to Frank Lang at Corpus Christi Church. Sharon first worked at Mercy Hospital from 1961 until 1969, before attending Bernel Beauty School in 1970. She retired from Just Deb’s Beauty Salon in 2002. Sharon was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Parish, that enjoyed Saturday night masses at Sacred Heart. In her retirement, she stayed busy by greeting and covering the supper hour for Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Praying the rosary was an important aspect of her daily life. The importance of ensuring her family and friends were safe as a result of her dedication to God. She shared many stories of Fort Dodge, her big family with seven siblings, but especially memories of her and Frank. She was a faithful and caring person that truly listened with delight to the adventures of those around her. She was beautiful inside and out, never a hair out of place. Sharon will be missed.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
