Joanne Will

Joanne H. Will died at peace on August 6, 2024, after a long illness. Funeral services will take place Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to your local food pantry in memory of Joanne. Joanne was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on December 14, 1943. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1962 and was married to the love of her life, Clayton D. Will. The Wills moved to Badger, Iowa, where they built their home and raised their family. Joanne was involved in many groups and activities including Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Prayer Shawl Ministry, and the Badger Lutheran Church Norwegian Supper as kringla and lefse maker extraordinaire. Joanne even demonstrated making her recipes with Clayton on You Tube to pass on these traditions. Joanne loved to read and watch movies, crochet, fish with her sweetie, and cook delicious meals and treats for her family and friends. She was happiest when everyone was home safe, gathered around the dining table, sharing a meal or playing a game. The Will's recently moved to Madrid, Iowa and then settled in Storm Lake, Iowa. Joanne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clayton D. Will; her children, Teresa J. Will, Tamera D. Will, and Christopher D. Will; five grandchildren, Amanda Willey Tuten, Justin Willey, Caleb Willey (Abby), Brandon Will, Heather Will, and four great-grandchildren, Myla Hale, Iris Hale, Bella Willey, Braxton Basse. Sisters Cindy (John) and Darlene and many nieces and nephews. Family who passed before Joanne: parents Hope and Leonard Anderson, sisters Marvetta Gerard and Becky Kotchka, and grandson Andrew Willey. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
