Trent Dorothy

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the VFW Post 1856 and the United States Air Force Honor Guard. A visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Left with broken hearts, is the love of his life and wife Stacy, children Brad Dorothy, Amber Dorothy both of Fort Dodge, stepchildren Samantha Bobinet, Brock Bobinet, Jacob Schultz and grandchildren Zayden and Weston Hanson. He is also survived by his brother Kirk Dorothy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Dorothy and Kay Mabe (Brown) Garder and sister Kineta Dorothy.

Trent Leroy Dorothy was born January 25, 1965, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When Trent was young, his family made their home in Fort Dodge. Trent is a 1987 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School. After high school, Trent enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for over four years. After his honorable discharge, Trent worked for Midstate Steel in Boone until he started his career in Fort Dodge at the National Gypsum, where he has been for the last 27 years. Trent loved to be surrounded by family and friends, especially being outdoors hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed.
