Elaine Fiferlick

Elaine D. Fiferlick, 80, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A service honoring Elaine’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jerry Raether officiating. Interment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Elaine is survived by her children, Kim (Tom) McGriff, Danny Fiferlick, and Wendy Fiferlick; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylynn, and Logan; her great grandchildren, Ryker, Reed, and Adalynn; and her aunt Rose Marie (Leroy) Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, her brother Jeff Zinnel, and her best friend Julie Cormack.
Elaine Zinnel, the daughter of Harvey and Bency (Crane) Zinnel, was born October 19, 1944, in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. She lived there until moving to Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and then in 1946 the family moved to Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1962. On November 9, 1963, Elaine was united in marriage to Charles Fiferlick in Webster City. Elaine was employed at the Starlite and also the Towers Restaurant.
Elaine was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She was active in the PTA and the many school activities of her children. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Password. Elaine especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
