Morris Licht
Morris Licht, 76, of Manson, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Morris was born in Fort Dodge on December 26, 1947, to Edgar and Eileen (Hoyer) Licht. He attended and graduated from Northwest Webster High School in Barnum and then went to college in Omaha where he graduated with a business degree. Morris was united in marriage to Patricia Krebs on September 14, 1968, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Manson. Morris worked as an auditor for a firm when living in Des Moines. They moved back to farm near Manson in 1970 and then moved to Clare in 1973 where he proudly farmed with his dad and brother until retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus and also served on the board for Webster Calhoun Telephone Association for many years. Morris loved hunting with his group of family and close friends, golfing with Patty and his friends and going fishing.
Morris is survived by his children Pamela Aagesen (Shawn Hinrichs) of Des Moines, IA; Amy (Chad) Oehlert of Urbandale, IA; and Anthony (Gina) Licht of Johnston, IA; grandchildren Jack (Lauren), Reilly, and Nicholas Aagesen; Olivia and Kaelan Oehlert; and Madeline and Alyssa Licht; great-grandson Connor; his siblings Connie (Paul) Cook, Ranae Kehoe, Barb (Jim) Hansen and sister-in-law Sandy Licht. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; his parents Edgar and Eileen; and his brother Randy.
A Rosary Service will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2024, followed by visitation from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial at St. Thomas Cemetery in Manson. A luncheon will follow at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
