Aaron Miller
Aaron Patrick Miller, 35, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Aaron was born on April 18, 1989, to Dennis and Ellyn (Murman) Miller in Fort Dodge. Also welcoming him into the world was his big brother Jordan.
Aaron attended Cooper School and Fair Oaks before graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High in 2007. Active in Wrestling, Baseball and Dodge Senate, working at Hy-Vee, and was active in Grace Lutheran’s Youth Group; going on several mission trips each summer. Aaron had always wanted to be a teacher and follow in the footsteps of his mentor, Bill Lehmkuhl. He attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, and graduated with a degree in teaching. He returned to Fort Dodge and taught 7th grade social studies for 11 years. He coached middle school basketball and football; high school baseball and the last 7 years was the assistant softball coach. He received his master’s degree in school administration in January 2024 and was hired as the Assistant Principal of the Middle School and began that position in August 2024. You could also hear Aaron’s enthusiasm on the radio as he was the “color commentator” for many home and away football games and last year at the State Wrestling tournament. He was a Dodger through and through and had a deep passion for teaching, his students and helping them mature on their way to adulthood. He had a quick wit, always had a one-liner, and could quote millions of sports statistics and lines from his favorite movies!
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ellyn and Dave Lemke and Dennis Miller and Glenn Levicki; brother Jordan (Kelly) and their children Kellan and Josephine; grandmother Charlotte Miller; stepsisters Jen (Loran) Matt and their children Colton, Bryce, and Ethan, Alissa (Tony) Nelson and their children Evie and Georgia, step brother Brad (Amanda) and their children Aidan and Reagan; aunts and uncles Bruce (Dee) Murman, Bob Miller, Gary (Diana) Miller and DeeAnna (Guillermo) Zavala and cousins Brian, Molly, Beth, Quinton, Reid, Cameron, and Jose, and many step uncles, aunts and cousins and his beloved bull dog Carver.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Art and Carol Murman, and Marlyn Miller.
May Aaron’s love of kids, teaching, sports, making life-long friendships and his Dodger Spirit live on in the lives he touched. Gone too soon, but not forgotten!
