Bradley G. Kintigh
Bradley Gene Kintigh, a longtime resident of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, passed suddenly January 8, 2025. Brad was born August 25, 1955, in Cherokee, Iowa. Brad freely shared his many talents. He was an amazing singer and guitar player and was proud to tell stories of how he and his high school peers started Young Singers. The group traveled the state singing and dancing and blossomed into our modern day show choir. Brad enjoyed music throughout his life, making lifelong friends and fans in The Trigger Band and J. Sanford Bands. He spread joy in churches and cars throughout the state as he sang. Brad took up marital arts as an adult in Mt. Pleasant and was a 4th degree black belt in tae kwon do. He patiently instructed children and adults of all ages in courtesy, integrity, self-control, and an indomitable spirit. Brad lived these principles and fostered them in others with ease and grace. Brad never met a stranger and was quick to discover and appreciate the light in others.
Brad loved fishing, boating, and camping. He enjoyed the beauty of nature and appreciated lakes, streams and ponds throughout the Midwest. Brad was an organ donor and is without a doubt “tremendously pleased” to share one last gift-the gift of sight-to others with his passing.
Brad is survived by his lifetime companion and wife of 50 years, Cordelia (Roach) Kintigh. He is survived by his 3 children: Brandi Ringholz (Mike Hart) of Ankeny, Adam (Claudia) Kintigh of Ft. Dodge, and Jeremy (Irazu) Kintigh of Las Vegas. Honored grandchildren ranging from 22-8 years include: Isaiah, Cole, Mia, Mia, Aidan, Michael, Gus, Wesley, Emma, and Liam. He is survived by his brothers, David (Lynn) Kintigh of Cherokee, Terry (Jody) Kintigh of Baudette, MN. He is also survived by sisters in law Deborah (Michael) Fox, and Julia (Timothy) Grauer, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces across the country brought Brad great joy and pride throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Howard Kintigh and his dog, Molly Mae.
