Pam Goeders

Pamela Jean Goeders, affectionately known as “Pam,” passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with COPD and other health challenges.

Born on June 13, 1947, in Pensacola, Florida, Pam grew up in Humboldt, Iowa, alongside her sister Kristi. She cherished memories of childhood, including caring for a baby squirrel named “Twinkie.” A Humboldt High School graduate, Pam attended the State College of Iowa and Iowa Central Community College. She married Jack Goeders in 1969, settling in Manson, Iowa, where they raised three children: Marc, Amy, and Greg.

Pam worked various jobs, including as a teller at Manson State Bank until her retirement in 2021. She loved sewing, crafting, Hallmark Christmas movies, and cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones. Her family, especially her five grandchildren, brought her the greatest joy. After Jack's passing in 2021, Pam remained in their home with the help of caring neighbors and family until her health declined.

In her final days, Pam shared that yellow butterflies would symbolize her visits after she was gone. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Weishaar Chapel – Gunderson Funeral Home in Manson. Family will greet attendees starting at 9:30 a.m., with a private burial to follow.
