Harry Lenz

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Funeral service will be on Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Badger Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Meier officiating, with burial following at Blossom Hill Cemetery and a luncheon at the church after.

Born July 11, 1934, in Wapello County, Iowa, Harry was adopted and raised by Edward and Lydia Lenz in LuVerne, Iowa. He married his wife of 70 years, Donna Mae (Olson), November 30, 1954. He served in Japan in the U.S. Army, then began farming in Badger in 1967. While farming, he also worked 29 years for Webster County Road Department, operating the road grader and maintainer. Harry and Donna were blessed with their children Martin, Rebecca, Bonnie, Katherine, Cynthia, Richard, and Diane. They have been members of Badger Lutheran Church for 65 years.

Harry is survived by his wife, Donna, and children Marty; Becky (Rob) Higgs; Bonnie (Allan Shickman); Kathy Schwieger; Cindy (Randy) Scheuerman; Rich (Pam); Diane (Tom) Penningroth; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother- and father-in-law Rasmus and Beth Olson; sister Mildred; and son-in-law Bruce Schwieger.
