The 10 Commandments
To the editor:
The decision to have an abortion or not is up to the woman and her doctor with God’s guidance. The government should have no laws concerning this issue.
God gave us the 10 Commandments through Moses in Exodus 20 to live by. The Sixth Commandment states “Thou shalt not kill.” It is not up to the government to make this decision or be our judge. God Almighty will judge each one of us when we stand before his judgment throne to answer for the choices we have made while on this Earth.
We should have the 10 Commandments posted in our homes to remind us daily how we should live. In 1980, the U.S. Supreme Court had them removed from public schools.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God tells us “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” We as a nation need to pray, repent and ask for God’s mercy upon us so that he will continue to bless this nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
