To the editor:

It concerns me the way Democrats, reporters from the mainstream news media (absent FOX News), and the likes of the ladies on The View like to drag out and highlight “MAGA” when referring to any and all Republicans and seem to enjoy emphasizing “MAGA” as a way to disparage Republicans. I am a MAGA Republican and proud of it.

Former President Trump will make America safe again. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City, just to name a few of our once-grand cities (all Democrat run), are experiencing an increase in violent crime, assaults on police and disrespect for their fellow citizens. Roving gangs wearing hoodies and masks are invading businesses, smashing display cases, grabbing merchandise and running out of the stores unimpeded. Helpless citizens are being terrorized and beaten in broad daylight.

Trump and Republicans often highlight murders, rapes and other vicious crimes involving illegal immigrants. Democrats and those in the mainstream media (absent FOX News) are quick to respond that some studies have found that people living in the U.S. illegally are less likely than native-born Americans to have been arrested for violent, drug and property crimes. Tell that to the families of the victims. Such an argument was recently stated in an article in The Messenger on Friday, Aug. 23, an article about Trump at the border in Arizona. Trump and Republicans argue if that person had not been in this country illegally there would not have been that murder, rape or other vicious crime committed. Period.

Trump will make America secure again. Trump will make our southern border secure to stop the continuing influx of illegal immigrants. President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkis have all said repeatedly over the last 3 and ½ years that the southern border is closed. As Biden would say – malarkey.

According to U.S. Customs & Border Protection over 8.3 million immigrants have been encountered entering the country illegally at the southern border since Biden took office, not including the 1.9 million got aways that have avoided apprehension at the border for a reason. Someday, sooner rather than later, American citizens will be murdered by explosive devices created by terrorists that FBI Director Wray has stated he knows are already in our country. The Biden/Harris administration doesn’t care. Democrats must not care. If they did, something would have been done long ago about securing the border, like leaving matters alone 3 and ½ years ago when Trump was getting control of the border. But VP Harris, now that she is running for president, says, if elected, she will secure the border. Say what? She has said for 3 and ½ years that it is secure. But now it isn’t? It must be time for an election.

Trump will make America proud again. Trump will make America patriotic again. A recent poll indicated only 39 percent of Americans are proud of this country. Patriotism and belief in America, the greatest, most giving country in the world, needs to be restored, particularly among young people.

Trump will make America respected again around the world, strong again militarily, prosperous again at home.

I want to make America great again. If you want the same, you will also vote for Trump and Republicans in November.
