The tentative list of state track and field qualifiers has been released by the IHSAA and IGHSAU for Des Moines next week.

All the action begins on Thursday inside Drake Stadium and continues through Saturday night.

The Fort Dodge boys qualified in three events from two individuals, as Noah Daniel will run in the 100 and 200 while Dalton Eckley competes in the high jump for Class 4A.

From St. Edmond, the girls earned a total of nine qualifiers with the boys advancing five on.

Mariah Myers qualified in both the 1A shot put and discus with Anna Lursen (800), Michaela Leiting (1,500), Hannah Landwehr (3,000) and Josie Harvey (100 hurdles) joining her in individual events.

The Gaels will also be represented in the 4×400, 4×800 and distance medley relays.

Anthony Valles is a two-event qualifier, as he will compete in both the 1,600 and 3,200 while the St. Edmond 4×200, 4×400 and distance medley relays are also scheduled for action.

In 3A, Algona has a combined 18 qualifiers, Humboldt has nine and Webster City eight. Gavin Weber from Algona will compete in all three distance events while Webster City’s Jaxon Cherry is in both the shot put and discus fields.

Manson Northwest Webster qualified six in 2A, including three events for Matt Condon and two for Alyssa Richman. South Central Calhoun boasts nine — led by Chloe Judisch in the 400, 800 and 1500 — while Emmetsburg has eight, Southeast Valley and Greene County each have seven, Pocahontas Area has five with Eagle Grove, East Sac County and Clarion-Goldfield/Dows each qualifying two.

Emmetsburg’s Rachel Schany will be in four events and Chloe Judisch of South Central Calhoun in three.

Along with St. Edmond in 1A, Bishop Garrigan has 13 qualifiers, Newell-Fonda nine, West Bend-Mallard eight and North Union four.

Both Reagan Murphy and Abbie Capesius from Garrigan are in three events.
